We are deeply saddened by the death of Robert Fisk, an old-fashioned journalist who was not afraid of getting to the root of a story and finding the truth despite extreme danger to himself. We did several lecture tours with him and they were always hugely popular as he told a good yarn, and entertained us with his extraordinary stories and recall of events. A larger than life person, he will be sorely missed
